The Tau 2025 Workshop is moving forward!
We like to thank all respondents to the Tau 2025 survey. Overall there were 47 responses so far. This encourages us to move forward with the planning process.
We are happy to share that Ahmed Shebaita from Synopsys has joined the organizing team. We are brain-storming on the topic of a possible problem for a Tau contest.
To provide a longer runway for take-off and maximize the number of possible participants the 5/1/2025-5/2/2025 date looks most favorable. Please mark your calendars!
Here is a link to the anonymized spreadsheet with the responses if you like to review the overall interest and topics that were mentioned.
We are working on an efficient mechanism to keep all respondents up to date on the planning progress.
Please continue to add yourself to the survey below if you have not done so. This will help us to include you in future communications.
Dear Friends of Tau,
We wish to gauge interest in a resuscitated 2025 Tau Timing Workshop. Due to the shift towards hybrid and online workshops, we need to choose the workshop format and estimate attendance carefully. The Tau Workshop was last held in 2021. It is a unique forum that brings together timing stakeholders from Foundries, EDA Vendors, Design houses, and Academia to discuss timing issues in digital systems. If there is someone who hasn’t attended the workshop in the past few years that you think might be interested in attending, feel free to forward a pointer to this survey.
For the location we are planning to stay close to Silicon Valley, somewhere between Napa and Monterey. As in the past we are planning a Thursday+Friday two-day timing window. If you apply some useful skew, you might combine a weekend stay in the area with your participation. The second week in March and the first two weeks in May appear conflict free with other Conferences in the IC design and EDA calendar.
